Pretty crazy year for the NBA this season. Some say this year will be known for some of the biggest trades in history. The Pacific Division will see Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, and Lamar Odom make a run for the title this year, as they are currently one of the top contenders in the NBA. Phoenix Suns finalized one of the most landscaping trades in NBA history, acquiring Shaquille O'Neal in exchange for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks. The Southwest division is one of the three new divisions and might be the best in the league with Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs leading the way. Not far behind are Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets as well as the Houston Rockets led by Tracy McGrady. Baron Davis' performance in the 2007 playoffs gave hope to the fans of Golden State as they try and make a run for the title this year. Another division in the NBA is the Northwest division led by Carlos Boozer and the Jazz, while Iverson and the Nuggets are one of the top candidates in their division.

The Eastern Conference consists of many echelon teams. The Alantic division are lead by power house Boston Celtics. The Boston Celtics made one of the biggest trades ever, acquiring MVP Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Sam Cassell who was recently traded by the Clippers. The Southeast is the last of the new divisions and looked to be the weakest in the league. Orlando will be the favorite in this division, as "Superman" Dwight Howard looks forward to carry his team past the playoffs this year.  Washington Wizards are still without superstar Gilbert Arenas as they fight to contend for a playoff spot lead by Antwan Jamison. The Heat are surprisingly last in their division as superstar Dwayne Wade struggles to lead his team to victory dropping to a 11-46 record. The Central Division is led by Detroit Pistons who have been consistent these past couple of years run by Chauncey Billups. Cleveland Cavaliers are right behind the Pistons in this division, hoping for another run to the finals this year, led by All Star Lebron James. Who also leads the NBA in points scoring.   Cavs lost Larry Hughes, Donyell Marshall, and Drew Gooden, to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Ben Wallace, Wally Sczerbiak, Joe Smith and Delonte West. The NBA Playoffs will start on Saturday, April 19, 2008 and will run through mid-to-late June with the NBA Finals. Be sure and catch back for updates on your favorite teams.
